Spotlight Background

This fund is created to enable an incoming freshman student at the Daytona Beach Campus, accepted into the aeronautical sciences program, to complete flight training from first instructional flight to first solo, and if funds remain, to build additional flight experience within the first year of study at the university. This fund should, therefore, be used only for flight lab fees at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The award shall go annually only to that student of United States citizenship who demonstrates a strong career inclination towards becoming a professional pilot and progressing towards that goal through study and graduation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida. Preference will be given to that student who has not had significant previous experience as a flight student and who is starting from the beginning in the Embry-Riddle single-engine flight training track.
